About SXSW OpenFormat 2008

OpenFormat is an unconference within SXSW. It's a chance to follow up on a cool idea, ask a question, or lead a discussion on anything that strikes your fancy. Based on the concepts of BarCamp and Open Space, it's a freeform place to shape this event so it's better for you.

Why the 10 minute time slots?

Ten minutes is a short time, and we don't expect you to exhaust your topic in that short time. Instead, we're hoping the 10 minutes will give you enough time to introduce a topic, meet some people, and figure out what to do next. Then you can continue the discussion elsewhere in the room, go off to get a cup of coffee and chat, or schedule a new session on a different topic.

It's all subject to change by you

This event is all about adjusting to work best for whoever shows up. Participation is encouraged at all levels, so feel free to hack everything.
